Inhale the future ,Exhale the past.
A happy life depends upon the health of our mind and body. The health of mind and body is attained by regular yogic practise. Yoga is not limited in the bounds of caste, time, age, place, religion.
In Srimadbhagwat Gita the quote is
" Complete development of personality is yoga".
"Union of soul with God is Yoga".
What is Yoga ?
Yoga in common form is to combine or collect, like sum of two and two is four. While practising yoga , we combine our mind and body. Where our body is ,there is mind also. Whatever you are doing from body you are doing from mind also. Which means both are working together.
In our mind both good and bad thoughts keep coming. The good thoughts are always supported by our soul. Which means good deeds are always supported by our soul.
When we keep the capacities of our our body in mind and do work which is supported by soul , such action will be called as Yoga.
Thus we can say that when our physical, mental, spiritual powers slowly develop and reach the highest point then it is called the complete development of our personality and we call this as Yoga..
What is Yoga -Realization and Practicable ?
To attain physical, mental, spiritual power is yoga. And when these powers reach their peak is also called yoga.. This means to progress towards yoga is also yoga and to attain ones aim is also yoga.
The first is called as yoga realization and the second is called as Yoga sadhya, to attain yoga.
The person who is moving ahead on the path of yoga realization is called yoga accomplisher and the one who has completed his yoga is called yogi.
Is yoga the union of soul - God ?
As quoted in Srimadbhagwad Gita - Lord Krishna said : "Every living thing has a soul and because of this power of soul, this body and mind works. Body and mind do not work on their own, these are lifeless or inanimate but soul is not inanimate but conscious or living thing and its because of this power of soul , the body and mind also seems to be conscious.
Our body is made up of five elements air, water, earth, sky. The combination of soul is these five elements is called birth and the separation of the two is called death.
Our soul neither dies nor takes birth, in fact its body which dies and takes birth. Its the body that experiences joy, pain,
By practising yoga ,our body becomes disease free and stabilizes ,the mind becomes pure and calm and we start knowing the true form of soul.
What is the nature of God ?
God is truth, conscious, happy. He is every where in each particle but we can't see by these eyes. Similarly soul is the truth , conscious but there is no satisfaction because we keep on moving aimlessly in search of joy, happiness. The more our soul becomes pure and strong the more nearer are we to God.
Yoga -the prevention of reaction to different states of mind
Our mind is restless and this restlessness is due to inconstant conditions that are prevailing around us.
When we see happy incidents we feel happy as its the affection is happy state of mind .
But in contrast if we see any sad incident we are bound to be unhappy.
We experience pleasure in happy moments and pain in unhappy moments this is the state of mind that changes with different situations. To make these states totally quiet and concentrated is the name of yoga.
Yoga is a practise that makes us feel complete -physically and mentally.
Shared excepts from different books and own practise.
